Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger Reminisce Of Psychedelic Omelette

October 20, 2010

Song of the Day  :  The Joker – Steve Miller Band

Jerry Hall tells us about Mick Jagger and the psychedelic mushroom omelette

Wait, did that really just happen?

Jerry Hall, the former wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, sat down with Food Monthly magazine and had a delightful conversation filled with anecdotal laughter. The conversation started off simply enough – first they talked wine, cheese, or whatever Food Monthly subscribers like to read about. Then the juices started flowing and Jerry served up a story hot with scandal!

Did you know that Mick Jagger experimented with drugs??

Elton John Bashes Today’s Pop Stars, Calls Them ‘Pretty Awful’

October 19, 2010

Song of the Day  :  Your Song – Elton John

Elton John takes time to put the pop stars of today in their place

Well we’re glad somebody finally stood up and said something. Elton John, famous the world over for crafting a number of great songs of our time (“Your Song”, “Tiny Dancer”, “Candle In The Wind”, “Circle Of Life”… oh yeah and “Bennie And The Jets”) recently told a British magazine:

“Songwriters today are pretty awful, which is why everything sounds the same. Contemporary pop isn’t very inspiring.”

Oh no he di’nt!

Bruce Springsteen Photo Bombs Couple’s Engagement Photo… In Jersey!

October 19, 2010

Song of the Day  :  Born to Run – Bruce Springsteen

Celebrity Guest for engagement photos? Yes please

What is a photo bomber you may ask? Well, we weren’t all that sure either. Thanks to our good friends at, we were able to find the most comprehensive definition. According to their website, a photo bomber is “someone who either intentionally or unintentionally ruins an otherwise normal photo. The ‘photo bomber’ will be doing such things as: making faces, gestures, naked, or getting naked, in a costume, or doing some other equally hilarious action.”

It doesn’t seem like The Boss is doing anything to ruin this couple’s photos… maybe this is his take on guerilla marketing for his new release – The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town?

Billy Idol, David Bowie Both To Release Autobiographical Insight

October 12, 2010

Song of the Day  :  I Believe In A Thing Called Love – The Darkness

David Bowie and Billy Idol set to release books

Back in the late-70’s and early-80’s, glam rock and punk rock erupted from the music horizon. Stage antics and anarchy were remnants of the counter-culture movement of the 60’s; fans and musicians alike were rediscovering the power of plugging in rather than tuning out. Spit takes, fashion faux pas, and rebellion commandeered the radio waves – and something happened. People took off their disco platforms and began following these new pioneers of rock. The world was changing and music was at the forefront of its metamorphosis.

While the years have slowly trickled away and the glam-era is a thing of the past, some of the leaders of that decade are giving us a first-rate view of what it was like being kings of the controversial glitz during an important part of musical history.

Insane Clown Posse Revealed! Evangelical Christians Through And Through

October 11, 2010

Song of the Day  :  Luck Be a Lady – Frank Sinatra

Insane Clown Posse proves to be sent from the heavens
We’re not used to dealing with the Juggalo type. You know, those nasty, destructive, freaky-clown-make-upy kids that hang out in abandoned skate parks. Still unsure what a Juggalo is? They’re the scum of the music scene, the harbingers of hate! Most importantly, Juggalos are fanatics of the seemingly satanic acid-rappers the Insane Clown Posse.

Surprisingly, the Insane Clown Posse just revealed through a new song that they are actually Evangelical Christians.

We could have sworn it was The Blues Brothers who said “We’re on a mission from God”, but we’ve been wrong before. Show us what we need to know, prophets!

ICP shows us that we’re the morons

Hope! The Obama Musical Story

October 8, 2010

Song of the Day  :  Peaches – The Presidents of the United States of America

Hope! The Obama Musical Story

How did we miss this… Ladies, Gentlemen, we need to apologize to you. This musical opened in January of this past year. TEN MONTHS AGO! How did we all miss this?

Yes, Hope! The Obama Musical Story is no joke. Don’t believe us? Check out the video we found. CNN flew all the way to Germany (and boy are their arms tired) so they could produce this three-minute piece. And if CNN did it, you know it’s the real deal. After all, CNN introduced us to Wolf Blitzer and he’s a real werewolf… is that right?

Try not to dance to this musical
